A Broken Promise

 Setting sun on the horizon,

Reminded me the promise I made.
A promise to rise again,
A promise to live and love again.

A promise what I made to myself,
To keep but not break again.

The promise that you made to me.
To walk beside for eternity.

I hope you remember the promise,
You will walk with me again.
Then why you break the promise,
Shattered my heart into million pieces.

Woke me up from my daydream,
Asked me to go away from the mental heaven.
I don't know why I am so naive,
Drank the poison of hope again.

But still, I hold on to the remnants,
Of that promise we once shared.
For the setting sun on the horizon, Reminds me to rise again.

To rise above the pain and sorrow,
To find solace in new tomorrow.
Though broken, I'll mend my heart,
And keep the promise to myself,
To live and love again,
With or without you by my side.
